About the photographer / videographer

Hello, my name is Kenny, and I hail from Palmerston North, currently based in Auckland. I've had an interesting journey, starting as a graphic designer and eventually stumbling upon photography, which has now become a true passion and a full-time gig for me. Photography is like an endless game with no level caps, there’s always room to keep improving and it constantly draws me in deeper and deeper that I don’t think I’ll be ever putting down a camera.

Wedding photography is a realm I find both challenging and exhilarating.
No two weddings are alike, even if the venue, food, and drinks may be similar. What truly captivates me is the unique story each wedding tells. It fascinates me to create, explore, and document these once-in-a-lifetime stories. Since my journey began in 2014, I've been fortunate to win a few photography competitions and have my work featured on various social media platforms.

My photography style can be best described as imaginative, elegant, artistic, moody, warm, and soft—reminiscent of the film era, but with a modern digital touch. I thrive in capturing candid and honest moments, employing a reportage style. My aim is to work unobtrusively, ensuring that you and your guests feel at ease while being the focal point. I'm dedicated to documenting your event as it naturally unfolds, highlighting the little details and individuals that hold the utmost significance for you.

As a creative and artistic individual, I relish the opportunity to create exquisite fine art imagery, whether it involves the use of light, depth of field, or reflections.

As a professional wedding photographer, I come prepared with multiple cameras and a variety of lenses for every wedding, ensuring there are no worries about equipment or memory card failures.

If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, please visit the "Contacts" tab, and I will make sure to respond promptly. I look forward to hearing from you and the possibility of working with you as your wedding photographer, documenting your story!

Random facts about this wedding photographer

Cameras:

I have a deep passion for photography, and my camera gears is like my cherished collection. I adore my old retro cameras, and from time to time, I load a roll of film and capture images with them. I appreciate how these vintage cameras strip away all the modern technology associated with photography, allowing me to relish the pure joy of capturing moments with analog equipment. The mechanical workings and the satisfying sound of the shutter never cease to fascinate me.

Coffee:

One of my daily rituals is enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. This habit has led me to explore a multitude of cafes throughout New Zealand, sampling their delectable food and coffee offerings. Currently, I source my coffee from Kokako, Havana, or Supreme.

Music:

Music holds a special place in my heart, and I have an appreciation for a wide range of genres, from rock to R&B to classical. I even picked up the guitar a few years ago and learned a few chords, allowing me to play some simple tunes, although it’s totally whack it’s all good haha.

Chocolate:

My sweet tooth knows no bounds. A single piece of chocolate is never enough for me; I indulge until I can't handle any more. I particularly miss the Timtam cake that's exclusively available at a cafe in Wellington called Fidel's.

My Pet:

Don’t know what is about it but I’m drawn to my fur baby!

Exploration:

I have a deep passion for exploration, whether it involves discovering new places or immersing myself in natural environments. Being near water, sand, or surrounded by nature has a calming and soothing effect on both my mind and body.

What I see through the viewfinder are my canvas, the camera are my hands, the lenses are my paint brushes. I’m not a photographer but an artist.
